“Anmol Ratan” (1950) is by now an obscure movie. This movie was a Dewan Production movie. It was directed by M Sadiq. The movie had Karan Dewan, Meena, Gope, Gulab, Nirmala, Madan Puri etc in it.
One song from this movie has been discussed in the past. Here is another song from this movie. This rare and obscure song is sung by Lata. D N Madhok is the lyricist. Music is composed by Vinod.
The leading lady in this movie is deccribed as Meena in the starcast, who could be Meena Shorey, though it could be Meena Kumari as well. And I guess that this song is picturised on the leading lady. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw more light on this movie as well as on the picturisation of this song.
What a superb song it is ! A forgotten gem for sure.

One simplest solution is to type “https” instead of “http”, from what i have heard. I’m not sure if it would work for Dailymotion, but it seems to be working for many other music and movie download sites, bittorrent sites, etc., in India. (They have blocked almost 200 or so websites). I havent tested this myself, cause I’m not in India.

Dailymotion link is working fine in my tata indicom. It is such a beautiful song, and i have now heard it in both dailymotion and youtube.
The word in first stanza is :
na main ‘aap’ bhatakti
Here ‘aap’ referes to ‘self’.
And in 2nd stanza the word with ? is :
ye ham unse “le” kar aaye
‘aankh mein aansoo lab par haaye
yeh ham un se le kar aaye’

today only the link to the audio was available when i tried through internet explorer. on mozilla there was an error message. and by the way my service provider for internet on desktop is BSNL yesterday i was working on my hubby’s laptop with a tata photon to help me. so the debate continues

Sorry, I joined this forum rather late and hence this delayed posting. How can this song be forgotten? I got it from a collector on a cassette and I have forgotten the number of times I have played it. Every time I played this number, tears swelled in my eyes ( even today) and I am not ashamed to admit it.
I have a Tata broadband connection I could hear the audio. Maybe I should try whether I can access DailyMotion.

Video link is not accessible.
I had earlier pointed out that all video links of Dailymotion in this blog have disappeared. Probably some thing to do with their server problem.

Dailymotion links are still available and working. Perhaps your computer settings may have changed.
Uploading to youtube is risky because claimaints to the right of the song spring up there even for rare songs that few people may even be aware of let alone possess.

I had no problem in accessing Dailymotion videos all these days until about a fortnight back. I have not changed any setting in my computer. Further search on the internet revealed that the the site has been banned in India since the middle of May on a court order.

It appears that only some ISPs have followed the court order and have blocked this site. Airtel is apparently one of them. On my laptop, I can see the DailyMotion links and play the songs. Maybe that is because my service provider is different.

Since the big boys Reliance Communication is in entertainment business, they used their powers to get many sites blocked in India around the release of their Karishma Kapoor movie Kambakht Ishq in month of May.
Of course, if u look around web, u would find a solution how to get around it 😉
