Manmohan Desai’s name is synonymous with movies containing wholesome entertainment as commercial movies are described in official circles. Manmohan Desai’s movies brough great enjoyment to the lives of movie watchers, especially those who grew up in 1970s.
But Manmohan Desai began making movies in late 1950s itself. He always signed up the big names of the era and made entertaining movies.
“Bluff Master” (1963) was one of the earliest movies of Manmohan Desai. this movie had Shammi Kapoor and Saira Bano in lead roles.
Today (18th june) happens to be the death anniversary of Manmohan Desai. On this occasion, here is a song from “Bluff Master”(1963). This song is sung by Lata and it is lip synced by Saira Bano. Shammi Kapoor, Mohan Choti and Niranjan Sharma are also visible in the picturisation.
Rajinder Krishan is the lyricist and music is composed by Kalyanji Anandji.

‘Bluff Master’ was a ‘paisa vasool’ entertainer! Never a dull moment as Shammi Kapoor played a conman. Saira Banu was so so lovely in this movie! I was in the IXth standard in school in Bombay and had gone with a couple of friends for this movie. Thoroughly enjoyable!
