“Hamaari Yaad Aayegi” (1961) was produced and directed by Kidar Sharma as a launch vehicle for his son Ashok Sharma who was paired opposite Tanuja in this movie.
These days, the movie is primarily remembered for the iconic title song of this movie which was sung by Mubarak Begam. Not that Mubarak Begam’s career was helped much from this song.
The other songs of this movie were also wonderful to listen to. But the title song was so outstanding that it overshadowed the other songs of the movie.
Here is another song from ‘Hamaari Yaad Aayegi” (1961). It is a duet which is sung by Mukesh and Lata. The song is picturised as a gentle lovers’s teasing song on Ashok Sharma and Tanuja.
Kidar Sharma is the lyricist. Music is composed by Snehal Bhatkar.

This song narrates a young hearts getting into common misconceptions and confusion…do I deserve or not…or may be..is it really a true love or an infatuation?
A very good lyrics.
it takes a lot of talent to paint a picture and tell a story.
