Mere jaisa nahin milega ulfat ka deewaana

Posted on: September 14, 2012

“Fifty Fifty” (1956) was a Roopnagar production. It was directed by R L Malhotra. The movie had Om Prakash, N. Jaywant, Manmohan Krishna, Gope, Amar, Tuntun, Mumtaz, Sunder, Helen, M. Rajan, David Abraham, Lalita Kumari etc in it.

I have discussed two songs from this movie in the past. Here is the third song from this movie. This song is a special song. It is sung by as many as three singers. Two of them are Kishore Kumar and Rafi. The third voice is that of Madan Mohan who is also the music director of the movie.

Only the audio of this song is available. I would have loved to see how and on whom this song was picturised.

From the lyrics and the singing, it is clear that it is a fun light hearted song. Lyrics of this song were written by Rajinder Krishan.

I became aware of this song only recently, thanks to our own beloved inhouse encyclopaedia Mr Arunkumar Deshmukh. It is a lovely song to listen to.

Lyrics

tere jaisa nahin milega
jee
mere jaisa nahin milega

o mere jaisa nahin milega

ulfat ka deewaana
koi parwaana
dhoondh le saara zamaana
mere jaisa nahin milega
ulfat ka deewaana
koi parwaana
dhoondh le saara zamaana

od de dei ee ee
od de dei ee ee
od de dei ee
od dei
aa aa aa aa
aa aa aa aa
aa yayayayayayay

teri meri preet lagi
haay re haay
haay
teri meri preet lagi
haay re haay
mere man ka baiju baawra
yaad mein teri gaaye
tu haan kare jaa
ya naa kare jaa
tu haan kare jaa
ya naa kare jaa
saari duniya se anmol hai
mere dil ka ye nazraana
dhoondh le saara zamaana
mere jaisa
arre mere jaisa
haa haa mere jaisa
nahin milega

ulfat ka deewaana
koi parwaana
dhoondh le saara zamaana

marne waale mar gaye
aur chhod gaye aulaad
takey ser bikte hain aise
Majnu aur Farhaad
aao jee huzoor chalen
duniya se door chalen
duniya hai ek saraay
chal gori chal chal
pyaar ke khatmal
baithhe hain taak lagaaye
hai mere dil ka ye armaan
tere sadqe jaaun
o chaahe le le meri jaan
tere saqde jaaun
haan haan
sadqe jaaun
haay
tere sadqe jaaun
kahaan milega aisa badhiya
duniya mein mastaana
dhoondh le saara zaamaaa
mere jaisa

o mere jaisa
ae ae
mere jaisa nahin milega
ulfat ka deewaana
koi parwaana
dhoondh le saara zamaana

aisi mazedaar gori haandi pakaaunga
teekha teekha pyaar ka
masaala milaaunga
aisi mazedaar gori haandi pakaaunga
aa chal tujhko banwaa doonga
ek bawarchi khana
chhod de saara zamaana
mere jaisa

mere jaisa
arre
mere jaisa nahin milega
ulfat ka deewaana
koi parwaana
dhoondh le saara zamaana
chhod le saara zamaana
dhoondh le saara zamaana

Atul ji,
Thank you very much for posting this hilarious comedy song from one of my fav films of the 50s.
FIFTY FIFTY-1956 was a Roopnagar ltd. film, produced and directed by Roshanlal Malhotra, who was a great fan of kishore kumar. For a long time,he was after KK to act in his film.KK was not very keen but he agreed.Due to his busy schedule,KK could not keep his promise.Since all the other cast and everything else was ready for the film to roll, finally actor M.RAJAN was taken as a Hero at the last minute.Initially,Nalini Jayawant was reluctant to work against an unknown hero, but she was convinced and the film rolled on.
As a compensation for his lapse,KK agreed to sing atleast two songs in the film. The first song-Aadhi tum kha lo,aadhi hum kha le,miljul ke zamane mein guzara kar le was already posted here and now the second song also is here.
The film was a comedy based on true friendship.
This song is filmed on Omprakash,Gope and Sunder, who are trying to woo Tun Tun (if I remember rightly).Truely a very hilarious situation.
The song itself is very melodious and has a catchy tune which will haunt you for days together.

What a spicy-masaledar song by three jolly gentlemen…
the truly comic!
Some times we easily forget that a great song can be in comedic nature too :).
