Mehlon mein rehne waale hamen tere dar se kyaa

“Shabaab” (1954) was a Sadiq Productions movie. It was produced and directed by M Sadiq. The movie had Bharat Bhushan, Nutan, Shyam Kumar, Wasti, Yashodara Katju, Badri Prasad etc in it.
As many as nine songs from “Shabaab” (1954) have been discussed in the past. Here is the tenth song from this movie. This song is sung by Rafi and chorus. Shakeel Badayuni is the lyricist. Music is composed by Naushad.
It is mentioned in YT that Bande Hasan and Mubarak Begam also sing this song. But it is only Rafi and chorus that are audible in the song. No doubt the chorus has a prominent male and female voice in it, but I wonder if that is enough for Bande Hasan and Mubarak Begam to get credited separately for this song. I request our knowledgeable readers to tell us how this song has been credited in the Geetkosh.
The lyrics of this song were sent to me by Mr Sadanand Kamath. This song was the 100th lyrics contribution for him in the blog. Prior to that, he had also completed his century as an article contributor. That makes him an allrounder contributor who becomes the first contributor to complete two centuries in two different categories of contributions. I take this opportunity to thank Mr Sadanand Kamath for his valuable contributions in this blog in various capacities. Here is hoping that we will continue to receive many more contributions from him in the future as well.

mehlon mein rehne waale hamen
tere dar se kyaa aa aa aa

mehlon mein rehne waale hamen
tere dar se kyaa aa
mehlon mein rehne waale hamen
tere dar se kyaa aa
nagri hai apni pyaari hamen
unke ghar se kyaa aa
nagri hai apni pyaari hamen
unke ghar se kyaa aa
mehlon mein rehne waale
chhotaa badaa na koi
baraabar hain sab yahaan
chhotaa badaa na koi
baraabar hain sab yahaan
paidaa kiyaa hai jisne
ussi kaa hai ye jahaan
paida kiyaa hai jisne
ussi kaa hai ye jahaan
uskaa hi aasraa hai hamen
duniyaa bhar se kyaa aa
uskaa hi aasraa hai hamen
duniyaa bhar se kyaa aa
mehlon mein rehne waale
o dene waalon hamko
na daulat ki bheekh do o o
o dene waalon hamko
na daulat ki bheekh do o o
jholi hai dil ki khaali
mohabbat ki bheekh do o o
jholi hai dil ki khaali
mohabbat ki bheekh do o o
bhookhe hain ik nazar ke hamen
maal o zar se kyaa aa
bhookhe hain ik nazar ke hamen
maal o zar se kyaa aa
mehlon mein rehne waale
zillat se heere moti bhi
maalik kasam na le
zillat se heere moti bhi
maalik kasam na le
nafrat se gar miley to
mohabbat bhi hum na le
nafrat se gar miley to
mohabbat bhi hum na le
izzat se jo na dekhe hamen
uss nazar se kyaa aa
izzat se jo na dekhe hamen
uss nazar se kyaa aa
mehlon mein rehne waale hamen
tere dar se kyaa aa
nagri hai apni pyaari hamen
unke ghar se kyaa aa

In a recent (may be re-run) interview with Mubarak Begum on D D Bharati, she described her inclusion in this song as follows:
Naushad had called her for playback singing for ‘Shabab’. When she came to know that it was chorus song, she was reluctant to accept. She had already sung four five beautiful solos and a devotional duet in ‘Daera’ a year before, and she was afraid that the chorus singing may type her as a chorus artist. On the advise of Rafi and others, that the patronage by Naushad will be a big boost to her carrier, she reluctantly agreed. Though, she revealed, that Naushad never called her again, for any song.
A marvelous singer, with a melodious voice, neglected then, and even now, she is unhappy with the industry and the government for the total neglect of her pitiable condition.

mohabbat ki bheekh do o o
jholi hai dil ki khaali
mohabbat ki bheekh do o o
bhookhe hain ik nazar ke hamen
