“Uphaar” (1971) was a Rajshree Productions movie. It was produced by Tarachand Barjatya and directed by Sudhendu Roy. The movie had Jaya Bhaduri, Kamini Kaushal, Nana Palsikar, Nandita Thakur, Suresh Chatwal, Yunus Perwaiz, Ratnamala, Leela Misra, Shail Chaturvedi, Rajoo, Swaroop Dutta etc in it.
This movie had four songs in it. Three of these songs have been discussed in the past.
Here is the fourth and final song from the movie.
This song is sung by Lata and it is picturised as a puppet cum nautanki song. A female dancer (who is she ?) dancer in a village fair accompanied with puppets, much to the appreciation by the rural crowd who have gathered to watch the show.
This puppet song in fact reminds me of the better known puppet song from those days viz. Bol meri gudiya gudde ke sang jaayegi (Bhai Ho To Aisa)(1972).

The dancer who lip syncs for this song is Arthi/Aarthi,She is there with Jaya badhuri (as one of her classmates)in Hrishikesh Mukherjee`s Guddi and also as one of her sahelis in Mili
And she is also there in Resham Ki dori(in the famous raksha Bandhan song alongwith Dharmendra,Kumud Chugaani).Others featuring in the song Swaroo Dutt,Suresh Chatwal,Nandita Thakur.
