“Qasam” (1947) was a Prem Pictures production. It was directed by M D Baig. The movie had Kanta Devi, Jamu Patel, Najma, Prem Adeeb, Raj Adeeb, Sabir, Shashibala etc in it.
As many as three songs from “Qasam” (1947) have been discussed in the past. The songs of this movie are extremely difficult to find but these songs are of interest to music lovers because these songs are Sajjad Hussain’s composition.
The remaining songs of “Qasam” (1947) were not available on YT. Only the audio of these songs are available and the audio quality of these songs are not very good. But something is better than nothing and we have to be satisfied with whatever we can get.
Here is the fourth song from “Qasam” (1947). This rare song is sung by Geeta Dutt (then Roy). Hamid Hyderabadi is the lyricist. Music is composed by Sajjad Hussain, of course.
The audio quality is poor and I have not been able to note down the lyrics of this song to my satisfaction. I request our readers with better ears to help point out the missing/ correct words in the lyrics wherever applicable.
Since only the audio of the song is available, it is difficult to guess how and on whom this song is picturised. I request our knowledgeable raeders to throw light on this matter too.
