“Rangeen Kahaani” was an N R Art Pictures production. It was directed by Anjum Hussain. The movie had S Irshad, Parvez, S Ahmad, Bibijaan, Khurshid, Surekha, Dulaari, Agha etc in it.
Here is a song from this movie.
Online sources mention the name of Amirbai Karnataki as the singer but it is clear from the audio that the song has other singers in it as well. I request our knowledgeable readers to tell us who the other singers could be.
Wahiq Qureshi is the lyricist. Music is composed by Feroz Nizami.
I have been unable to get one word in the lyrics. I request our readers with keener ears to tell us what that word (marked as ?) could be.

Thanks for digging out such jewels. By the way, this is the 1st time I am ever writing although I have opened a separate folder under your name, Atul, where the # of songs by now is 4 thousand plus. Wow ! I know the missing word, since its repeated 3 times and more clear the 2nd time. However, cant figure out the 2nd singer. I will not write the missing word. Instead, here’s a link of a different song by Lataji, one of my most fav songs by Didi. It’s the 1st word only after the mukhda. The song starts with mukhda Bigad Bigad ke bani thi qismat, etc etc. The 1st antara starts with the word you cant figure out !! This way you will not only get to know the word also but also add a real gem of a song by Lataji which I did not see in your 4K list nor on google.

The blog has 7600 plus songs and not just 4000 plus. the “Aaraam” (1951) song “Ujdi re mere pyaar ki duniya” whose link you have sent has also been posted some three years back.

Oh, I guess I could only check the list since I became the member of your phenomenal blog about 4 years ago (I think). So anything prior to that is not on my list. Anil Biswas music and Rajinder Krishna’s lyrics and the way Madhubala acts in this song and Dev Anand (my all-time fv followed by Rajesh Khanna) … the song just tears you apart. The movie was okay but then I dont remember much as saw it quite some time ago on the internet (since I live in the USA for 30+ years). And of course, nobody and I mean nobody can sing it better, not even Didi’s younger sister. Besides Like many actresses of yesteryear, Madhubala always always wanted Didi to sing her songs. Am I even surprised?!

The three missing words “??” sound like “uthati”, “ubhari” and again “uthati” … and they make sense as adjectives to “jawaani”.
