“Bhai Bhai” (1956) was an AVM Productions movie. It was produced by A V Meiyappan and directed by M V Raman. The movie had Ashok Kumar, Kishore Kumar, Nimmi, Nirupa Roy, Shyama, Om Prakash, David, Master Chottu, Kesari, Shivaraj, Master Arun, Master Babu, Roop Kumar etc in it.
This movie had eleven songs in it, including a multiple version song (happy and sad versions- counting them as two songs). As many as ten songs have been discussed in the blog.
Here is the eleventh and final song from “Bhai Bhai” (1956). This song is sung by Lata. It is picturised on Nirupa Roy as a “remonstrating with the Almighty” genre of song. Nirupa Roy is seen lip syncing this song not infront of the idol of lord Krishna, but inside her kitchen. Ashok Kumar, playing her husband is shown pacing up and down restlessly, which in Hindi movies of those days signified that things, after more than two hours of melodramatic happenings were about to get settled satisfactorily into a happy ending. 🙂
Rajinder Krishan was the lyricist of this song. Music was composed by Madan Mohan.
