“Anamika” (1973) was produced by Tahir Hussain and directed by Raghunath Jhalani. The movie had Sanjeev Kumar, Jaya Bhaduri, Helen, Achla Sachdev, Narendranath, A. K. Hangal, Jankidas, Mac Mohan, Iftekhar, Rajesh Behl, Asrani, Ashoo etc in it.
The movie had five songs in it. Four of these songs have been discussed in the past. Here is the fifth and final song from the movie.
The picturisation shows Jaya Bhaduri creating a scene in public tellling people that Sanjeev Kumar is trying to molest her. The public are obviously not amused. “You appearance is like Sanjeev Kumar, but your conduct is like Pran”- then tell him and decide to teach him a lesson.
It is then that Jaya Bhaduri tells them the truth that she was just playing a prank on him. The public then pick up showballs and throw the snow balls at both of them, and the two of them are send rolling down the snow capped hills, somewhat like Shammi Kapoor in “Junglee” (1962), albeit without the accompaniment of the scream of “Yaahoo”.
This song is sung by Asha Bhonsle, who turns 80 today (8 september 2013). On this occasion, here is this nice song from “Anamika” (1973). Majrooh Sultanpuri is the lyricist. Music is composed by R D Burman.
