“Arjun Pandit” (1976) is a recent movie by the standards of this blog. But surprisingly, little information seems to be available about this movie. This movie was directed by Hrishikesh Mukherji. It had Ashok Kumar, Vinod Mehra, Srividya, Deven Verma, Bindu etc in it.
This movie had won the Filmfare award for best story. The story was by Balaichand Mukherji.
Today (1 October 2013)is the birth anniversaries of S D Burman (1 october 1906- 31 october 1975) and Majrooh Sultanpuri (1 october 1919- 24 may 2000). On this occasion, here is a rare song from this obscure movie.
This song is sung by Kishore Kumar. It is picturised on Vinod Mehra and Deven Verma. Majrooh Sultanpuri is the lyricist and music is composed by S D Burman.
Here is this song which must be one of the last collaborations of Majrooh Sultanpuri and S D Burman, if not the last.

Last year, it was established S D Burman’s b’day was 10th Oct according to LB and not 1st Oct as reported by all major websites.
Anything new turned up to suggest it otherwise?
