“Laal Kunwar” (1952) an N V M Productions movie. It was directed by Ravindra Dave. the movie had Nasir Khan, Suraiya, P. Jairaj, Agha, Durga Khote, Usha Kiran etc in it.
Two song from this movie have been discussed in the past.
Today (10 october) is the birth anniversary of S D Burman. There are a few online resources that mention his birth anniversary date as 1 october but the authentic date as contained in well researched books as well as Listener’s bulletin mentions his birthday as 10 october.
On this occasion, here is a song from “Laal Kunwar” (1952). This song is created by three S’s. 🙂 Suraiyya is the singer, Sahir Ludhianvi is the Lyricist and music is composed by S D Burman.
Only the audio of this song is available, but it is obvious that this melancholic song was picturised on Suraiyya herself.
