Hullo to all in Atuldom
At the outset I should thank all in atuldom to have put me in a fix. Confused? I bet all of you are.
Well let me explain. We all know that quite a few of our favourites celebrate their birthdays in October (I don’t know one month in the calendar when that doesn’t happen). So whats news about that? Then comes the task of finding an as yet unposted song. That’s difficult in the case of many of our favourites. Right? Which ever song one thinks that “yeh toh Atul mein nahin hoga, dekhte hain” ends up being already posted. Hmm? Then there are those actors who feature in very few songs. Finding a song too becomes difficult in that case. Hope now I have cleared the confusion in the air.
Now what happened is I sat to research about which Hema Malini song to send to Atul for posting. I thought up a few of her popular numbers “Zindagi ek safar hain suhaana” (for example and my all time favourite Hema number) and found it was already there as part of the comments to the same song in Kishore Kumar’s voice. Then I went on to the next few songs on my list and saw that they are all missing from the blog. HURRAH! Problem solved that what everyone will think. But it confounded me further. “Ab in dus Gano mein se Kaunsa bhejoon”. Bhagwan kisiko aisi pareshaani na de. 😉
So now I have decided that we will have a less popular Hema Malini song. This song takes us on a tour of Disneyland. It basically shows Hema (who takes care of orphans) dreaming of how she can give her wards a good life if she can get them adopted by economically decently placed families. And how these children will also be able to have the pleasure of going to Disneyland. This movie had a whole lot of famous child stars of the 70s many of whom went on to become grown up stars with their own fan following. The song is sung by Asha Bhonsle (a very different kind of song for her back then). Written by Anand Bakshi, music direction— Laxmi Pyare. I like the feeling that the song conveys “children have clearer minds as compared to adult.” Also Hema Malini simply looks the “Dream Girl” super lovely, fresh and magical through the movie.

Thanks for posting this !! One from my wishlist ..!! and it was going through my mind since few months, but not taken up its lyrics…

The following song does not get displayed,alongwith the Movie name Dream Girl (1977), when we click on List of Movies alphabetically or list of movies music director wise.
Rectification/correction needed.
