“Chaand” (1944) was a Prabhat Film Company production. It was directed by D D Kashyap. The movie had Prem Adeeb, Begum Para, Sitara Devi, Sapru, Master Balakram, Ram Singh, Vatsala etc in it.
Seven songs from this movie have been discussed in the past. Here is the eighth song from the movie. This song is described by all internet sites as a solo song sung by Sitara Devi. On listening to the song, one notices that the song has a male voice too, which sounds like G M Durrani to me. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the identity of this male voice.
The song is picturised as a dance song on Sitara Devi and others. This is not an Indian folk dance song, rather more like a dance form of middle east.
Qamar Jalalabadi is the lyricist. Music is composed by Husnlal Bhagatram.
