“Hare Kaanch Ki Choodiyaan” (1967) was produced and directed by Kishore Sahu. The movie was made by him as a launch vehicle for his daughter Naina Sahu. But unlike his predecessors like say Jaddanbai, V Shantaram and Shobhana Samarth, who managed to launch the careers of their daughters with their home productions, Kishore Sahu’s home production failed to ensure a successful film career for his daughter.
Today (24 december 2013) is the 89th birth anniversary of Rafi. on this occasion, here is a song from “Hare Kaanch Ki Choodiyaan” (1967). This song is sung by Rafi and chorus. The song is pictturised as a picnic song with Biswajeet lip syncing in the song singling out Naina Sahu for his special attention. Shiv Kumar, Rajendranath etc are also visible in the picturisation.
