In our mission to discuss all the Suraiyya songs, now we have reached a stage where we are discussing the lesser known songs sung by her.
Here is a rare song from an obscure movie. The movie is called “Phool” (1945). Online sources mention that this movie was directed by K Asif and that this movie had Prithviraj Kapoor, Suraiyya, Durga Khote, Sitara Devi, Veena, Yakoob, Ashraf Khan, Mazhar Khan etc in it.
This song is sung by Suraiyya. Only the audio of this is available but it is clear that the song is picturised on Suraiyya herself.
No information is available about the lyricists of this movie. Music is composed by Ghulam Haider and it is one of his lesser known movies.
Suraiyya had sung three songs in this movie but it appears that only the song under discussion is available and other songs from this movie (whether sung by Suraiyya or others) are not available on line as of now. I request our knowledgeable readers to alert us as and when “new” songs from this movie become available.
