“Mumtaz Mahal” (1957) was directed by Ram Daryani for Nigam Films. The movie had Jairaj, Sheela Ramani, Veena, Agha, Umesh, Nazir Kashmiri etc in it.
This obscure B grade movie had some nice songs in it but they seem to have all but vanished by now. Only radio recordings of these songs seem to be available online.
Here is one such radio recording of a song from “Mumtaz Mahal” (1957). It is sung by Sudha Malhotra. Kaif Irfani is the lyricist. Music is composed by Vinod.
Only the audio of this song is available and that too seems to be unclear at places, And the song gets cut short abruptly.
I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the picturisation of this song. I hope that a proper recording of this nice song will become available in due course.

Either there is more to it, or it could be a ‘ Rubaayi ‘ which is a four liner.
