“Bade Sarkaar” (1957) was directed by Kishore Sahu for Filmistan. The movie had Kishore Sahu, Kamini Kaushal, Vijaylaxmi, Agha, durga Khote, Sajjan, K N Singh, Gope, Kanu Roy, Rajkumar, Indu Paul, Ramavtaar, Bhujbal Singh, Vijay Chaudhary, Harbans, Sheila Vaz etc in it.
Three songs from this movie have been discussed in the past. Here is the fourth and final song from the movie. This song is sung by Asha Bhonsle. The song is picturised on Kamini Kaushal (well past her prime) and Kishore Sahu (well past his sell by date) :). With such a lead combination in this movie, there is little wonder that this movie was a non starter at the box office.
People of advanced years have as much right to romance as people of young ages. It is just that they should be shown romancing in a manner as befitting their age. But Hindi movies know only one way of picturisation of such songs and the lead actors need to be young looking for such picturisations, and the picturisation of songs of this movie naturally did not fulfil that requirement.
