The movie “Doosri Shadi” (1947) has eleven songs in it, with music composer Pandit Govindram and lyricist Ishwar Chand Kapoor. The honour of singers are shared between Zohrabai Ambalewali and Shamshad Begum, with a few songs by Rajkumari. From the page on myswar.com this appears to be a female dominated music score with few songs for male singers. There is one name of ‘Ram Kamlani ‘ as singer in a couple of duets with Shamshad Begum. And for two songs singers name are absent. These two songs from this movie are posted in the blog.

I found this ‘Chaandni Raaten’ song on the youtube accidentally and luckily it was not posted in the 100 + songs of this genre already posted in the blog. This is a solo song talking of ‘ birha ‘ sung by Zohrabai Ambalewali. Chand has featured prominently in ‘ birha songs’ or ‘missing the beloved’ category songs in hindi films. So there are a few songs lined up for future in the series.
Zohrabai Ambalewaali is well represented with 105 songs in the blog. I. C. Kapoor has 18 songs and Pandit Govindram has 45 songs till date.
While elsewhere in the blog ‘atulites’ are engaged in a race to complete tagging of films whose all songs are posted in the blog, I am in a race of my own. To the two parties racing against one another, all I can say is wish the one with best intentions and wisdom win, which shouldn’t necessarily be the majority 🙂 .
