“Vidyapati” (1937) was directed by Debaki Basu for New Theatres, Calcutta. The movie had Prithviraj Kapoor, Chhaaaya Devi, Pahadi Sanyal, Kanan Devi, Nemo, K C Dey, Kedar, Rampyari, Mohammad Ishaaq, K N Singh, Leela Desai etc in it.

The link of the sing clearly is taken from the movie soundtrack and it has some portions of the song missing. The record number of this (and a few other songs) are not given in HFGK and so it is not known if records of this song were issued or not. But in any case, something is better than nothing and let us be thankful that at laest the sound rack of this movie is available, even if it skips at places.
