“Krorepati”(1936) was directed by Hem Chandar for New Theatres, Calcutta. The movie had Molina, K L saigal, Trilok Kapoor, Pahadi Sanyal, Nawab, Jagdish, babulal, Rajkumari Calcuttewaali, Kedar, Devbala, Amar Mallick, Nemo, Sardar Akhtar, Durga Bannerji, Rajlaxmi, Asghar Shor, Boken Chatto, Keshto Das, Prafull Rao etc in it.
Three songs from this movie have been discussed in the past.
Here is the fourth song from this movie. This song is sung by Rajukumari Calcuttewaali. Seeing that she figured in the movie as well, it is clear that the song was picturised on her as well.
Kidar Sharma is the lyricist.
This movie had two music directors, namely R C Boral and Pankaj Mullick. HFGK is silent about the music director of this movie but the uploader of this song mentions R C Boral as the music director.
The uploader has rightly mentioned the name of the singer as Rajkumar Calcuttewaali, but then he had doubts and he has mentioned, quoting a facebook group on Desi Oldies that they have identified the singer as Rajkumari.
Well, it has been established in a past discussion in this blog that Rajkumari (aka Rajkumari Dubey or Rajkumari Banaraswali) never worked in New Theatres movies. The new theatres movie had Rajkumari Calcuttewaali working in them. Our beloved inhouse encyclopaedia, Mr Arunkumar Deshmukh has mentioned in the past that “In Listener’s Bulletin 72, in an interview (Feb 1988),Rajkumari Banareswali has clarified that the Rajkumari working in NT films was Pullobai, also known as Rajkumari Calcuttewali.”
So, here is this song from the distant past of Hindi movies, which is sung by Rajkumari Calcuttewaali. I request our inowledgeable raeders to throw light on the music director of this song.
Song-Ghir kar aayin badariya kaari(Krorepati)(1936) Singer-Rajkumari Calcuttewaali, Lyrics-Kidar Sharma

Raichand Boral did few films in 1930’s with Pankaj Mullick. And this film has duo MD. Boral/Mullick. And Amar Saigal (1955) trio with Timir Baran did the music.

Anyways singer cannot be Rajkumari Dube as would have been just 10 years of age. So it must be Calcuttawali. In fact she has also acted in many movies of late 30s and early/mid 40’s
Rajkumari C acted in Ashiana-36, Arman-42, Devdas-35, Hamara Sansar-45, Hunterwali Ki Beti/ Daughter of Hunterwali-43, Kaarwaan-e-Hayaat-35, Pujarin-36, Secretary-38,
She also sang in Devdas>>aaye ghanshyam gheri aai badri
Zohrabai A sang instead of Rajkumari C Hamara Sansar-45 kaun jeevan me mere samaaye ja raha hai
So Rajkumari D was just a singer but Rajkumari C was less of singer than actress
