“Garib”(1942) was directed by Ramchandra Thakur for National Studios, Bombay. This movie had Surendra, Rose, Baby Meena, Veena Kumari, Santaka, N A Ansari, Agha, Pesi Patel etc in it.
Two songs from this movie have been discussed in the past. It is a surprise that the songs of this obscure movie are available. Here is a truly obscure song from “Garib”(1942). This song is sung by Surendra. Safdar Aah Sitapuri is the lyricist. Music is composed by Anil Biswas.
Only the audio of this song is available but it is clear that the song was picturised on Surendra himself.
I have been unable to get a few words in the song. I request our readers with keener ears to point out errors/ corrections/additions in the lyrics.
