“Anaath Ashram”(1937) was directed by Hem Chandar for New Theatres, Calcutta. The movie had Uma Shashi, Najam, Jagdeesh, Prithviraj, Nawab, Master Sattu, Nemo, Manorama, Trilok Kapoor, Vilayatu, Kalyani, Harimati, Bela, Devbala, K N Singh etc in it.
One song from this by now forgotten movie has been discussed in the past.
Here is the second song from the movie. This song is sung by Uma Shashi. The song is preceded by dialogues where a kid asks his mother to tell him the story of a “tota” (parrot). According to HFGK, the kids voice is by Shabbir Ali.
Kidar Sharma is the lyricist. Music is composed by R C Boral.
I have not been able to get a few words of this song correct to my satisfaction. I request our readers with keener ears to point out the corrections/ missing words in the lyrics wherever applicable.

Lyrics
maa
ek kahaani to sunaao
kahaani
suno
munna bada nikamma ladka hai
din bhar khel kood mein waqt zaaya karta hai
na likhta hai na padhta hai
bada hoga to is’se shaadi kaun karega
chhodo maa
main tumse shaadi kar loonga
tum mujhe tote si kahaani sunaao
tote ki kahaani
achcha
suno
ek thhi toti
ek thha tota
ek thhi toti
ek thha tota
hmm
tota
bada shareer thha
bachcha unka nanha munna
???
bachcha unka nanha munna
???
din bhar sota
baahar jaata
shaam ko waapis jab ghar aaata
phir wo khoob khilaune lata
haathi laata
ghode laata
aur ek baaja laata
naa
laata ek nanha sa baaja
laakar kehta nanhe raaja
laata ek nanha sa baaja
laakar kehta nanhe raaja
aa mere nanhe raaja aaja
aa mere nanhe raaja aaja
aakar doodhh mithhaai khaa jaa
aa mere nanhe
