Today (5 january 2014) is the 33rd death anniversary of C Ramchandra (12 january 1918-5 january 1982). He was one of the earlier pioneers of HFM and his contributions in enriching and adding variety to it is second to none. He one one the earlier music directors to adopt western music in HFM. And at the same time, he also composed songs based on folk music as well as those based on classical music. And he was a decent singer as well who sang over one hundred songs as a playback singer. And he could deliver under very tight schedules. He composed all the songs of “Aazaad” (1955) in just a few days and that too without compromising on their quality.
This blog has 338 songs of C Ramchandra from 77 movies (out of 932 songs from 104 movies that he composed in his career). The blog also has 74 songs of C Ramchandra as a playback singer.
As a tribute to C Ramchandra, here is a song from “Amar Deep”(1958). This song is sung by Rafi and it is picturised as a harmonium road side song on Dev Anand and Radheshyam, with the latter playing harmonium while Dev Anand sings this song about money.
Rajnder Krishan is the lyricist. Music is composed by C Ramchandra.
Lyrics of this song were sent to me by Prakashchandra.

Lyrics(Provided by Prakashchandra)
lene se inkaar nahin
aur dene ko taiyyar nahin
ye aisi cheez hai bhai
lene se inkaar nahin
dene ko taiyyar nahin
is duniya mein kaun hai aisa
jo paise ka yaar nahin
jo paise ka yaar nahin
lene se inkaar nahin
dene ko taiyyar nahin
is duniya mein kaun hai aisa
jo paise ka yaar nahin
jo paise ka yaar nahin
hai paisa aagey aagey
aur duniya peechhe bhaagey
par paisa bada chhalaavaa
hai saarey jag ka baabaa
ek jageh pe rukne ko jee
rukne ko taiyyar nahin
rukne ko taiyyar nahin
(whistling sound)
is duniyaa mein kaun hai aisa
jo paise ka yaar nahin
jo paise ka yaar nahin
ye ae
daulat hai beemaari
par laagey sabko pyaari
ye ae
daulat hai beemaari
par laagey sabko pyaari
is ki khaatir
kisi ne pagdi
kisi ne biwi haari
biwi bhi haar gayaa bechaaraa hunhh
kisi ne biwi haari
lekin jeet sadaa paise ki
kabhi bhi iss ki haar nahin
kabhi bhi iss ki haar nahin
lene se inkaar nahin
dene ko taiyyar nahin
is duniya mein kaun hai aisa
jo paise ka yaar nahin
jo paise ka yaar nahin
ye millein chalaanewaala
yahi chor banaanewala
maan yehi hai shaan yehi hai
kare yehi munh kaalaa
haan
munh bhi toh kaalaa hotaa hai
kare yehi munh kaalaa
kaljug mein toh
iss se badhkar
koyee badaa avtaar nahin
koyee badaa avtaar nahin
lene se inkaar nahin
dene ko taiyyar nahin
iss duniya mein kaun hai aisa
jo paise ka yaar nahin
jo paise ka yaar nahin
(whistling sound)

Appealing lyrics…enriching composition, unique characterization by Dev Anand..great dances by Vaijayantimala, Padmini, Ragini…added with , JohnyWalker, Dhumal, Mukri…all did their best in this film….immemorable film …..I guess the success of this film was the beginning of Lata’s embitterment with Anna…though revived a little in Stree in 1961, Aay mere vatanke logo in 1963 and in her last film with him Payalki Jhankar.1965..the great era ended with sad split…
