“Nayi Kahaani”(1943) was directed by D D Kashyap for Prabhat Film Company, Poona. The movie had Rose, Jairaj, Nandrekar, Bannerji, Shalini, Chhotu, Rane, Manji Rao, Ganpat Rao, Karadkar, Pradhan, Thakar, Bhide etc in it.
Four songs from this movie have been discussed in the past. Here is the fifth song from “Nayi kahaani”(1943). This is a very short one stanza song. Though HFGK is silent about the singer, it is clear from listening to this song that it is sung by G M Durrani. Wali sahab is the lyricist. Music is composed by Shyam Sundar. Picturisation shows an actor driving fast in his car. I am unable to identify him. I request our knowledgeable readers to help identify him.
