“Kaanoon”(1943) was produced and directed by A R Kardar. The movie had Mehtab, Shahu Modak, Jagirdar, Nirmal, Ulhas, Badri Prashad etc. in it.
The movie had eight songs in it. Four of the songs had Suraiyya’s voice in it and these songs were picturised on Mehtab. These included one solo song and three Suraiyya-Shyam Kumar duets picturised on Mehtab and Shahu Modak. All these songs have been covered in the blog.
The balance four songs from the movie were solo songs which were sung by Nirmala Devi and they were picturised on her as well. These songs are rare songs. while two of these songs were available on YT, the remaining two were not available.
Yesterday, I discussed a song that was not available on YT.
So now only one song from “Kaanoon” (1943) is left to be discussed.
Here is this eighth and final song from this movie. This rare song is sung by Nirmala Devi. This song is written by D N Madhok and music is composed by Naushad.
Only the audio of this song is available but it is clear that this song was picturised on Nirmala Devi herself.
With this song, “Kanoon”(1943) joins the list of movies that have all their songs covered in the blog.
