“Manmauji”(1962) was directed by Krishnan Panju for AVM, Madras. The movie had Kishore Kumar, Sadhana, Pran, Anwar Hussain, Ashim Kumar, Sundar, Kumari Naaz, Durga Khote, Leela Chitnis, Sulochana Chatterji, Achala Sachdev, Bharati Roy, Jayalalitha, Devika, Baby Farida etc in it.
The movie had eight songs in it. Six songs from this movie have been discussed in the past.
It so turns out that the remaining two songs are multiple version songs with similar lyrics. so we can cover them in one writeup.
This last song is a lovely children’s song with the lyrics-“Murge ne jhoothh bola murge ki choon choon ho gayi”. The first and longer version of the song is sung by Kamal Barot. It is picturised on two kids. The girl is Baby Farida (as far as I can tell). I am unable to identify the boy. I have not watched the movie, but looking at their dresses and hairstyle, they appear to be playing the childhood versions of Sadhana and Kishore Kumar. 🙂
The second version of the song is sung by Asha Bhonsle. This version is picturised on a mom (played by Baby Naaz ?) who sings this song to her two children- a boy and a girl. Kishore Kumar, working as a chauffer in that household listens to the song from outside.
Rajinder Krishan is the lyricist. music is composed by Madan Mohan.
With this delightful twin treat from “Manmauji”(1962), this movie now joins the list of movies that have all their songs covered in the blog.

Man-Mauji(1962)
In the Kamal barot long version the child artistes are Baby Devika(not Baby Farida as mentioned in the post) and Master Sarosh
and
In the Asha bhosle short verion Naaz sings with Baby Farida(nowadays she works as character artiste in T.V.Serials and movies) and Master Sahid/Shahid on screen
Saw the movie today.
The longer version (Kamal Barot) is filmed on child artists playing the childhood of Kishore Kumar and Naaz who are brother and sister.
The other version is sung by Naaz (Asha Bhonsle) when Naaz is living in Anwar Hussain’s house and helping look after his motherless children. And the song helps the chauffeur Kishore Kumar discover his lost sister.
Thank God for these songs that reunite families
