Lyrics

ye hai duniya ka baazaar
ye hai duniya ka baazaar
is baazar mein dekha aa humne
is baazar mein dekha aa humne
hansne rone ka vyopaar
hansne rone ka vyopaar
kahi milen aen aansu ki ladiyaan aan
kahin milen aansu ki ladiyaan aan
kahin milen aasha ke haar
kahi milen aasha ke haar
kahin dard kahi pyaar
kahin jeet kahin haar
ye hai duniya ka baazaar
ye hai duniya ka baazaar

aapse miliye
aji aapse miliye
aap kaun hain shehar ke bade raees
aapse miliye
aap kaun hai shehar ke bade raees
kaam aapka jeb kaatna
naam chaar sau bees
four twenty
kaam aapka jeb kaatna
naam char sau bees
inse bachke raho sarkaar
ke ye hain choron ke sarkaar
ye hai duniya ka baazar
ye hai duniya ka baazar

aapse miliye
aji
aapse miliye
aap kaun hain
miss chamkeeli jaan
aapse miliye aap kaun hain
miss chamkeeli jaan
daulat ki pehchaan hai inko
dil ki nahin pehchaan
daulat ki pehchaan hai inko
dil ki nahin pehchaan
seekho inse jhootha pyaar
ke ye hain choron ki dildaar
ye hai duniya ka baazaar
ye hai duniya ka baazaar

Being Shyam Sundar’s fan I had seen this movie several times. Shyam the hero is working for the roadside ‘Tamashawale’ and the heroine Nigar sultana, whom Shyam loves very much, is with the theater owner Yakub on a ‘tumtum’. Seeing her (Miss Chamkili jaan) with Yakub whom he personifies as ‘Sahar ke bade raees with lots of daulat’, he spontaneously sings this song describing them. That is the situation of this song as I vividly remember.
