New Theatre, Calcutta’s “Dhoop Chhaaon”(1935), a remake of their Bangla movie “BhagyaChakra”(1935) was directed by Nitin Bose. The movie had Biswanath Bhaduri, Vikram Kapoor, K C Dey, Ajmat Bibi, Nawab, Kidar Sharma, Uma Shashi, Dev Bala, Nagendra Bala, Giridharilal Vaidhya, Babulal, Ahi Sanyal, Indu Mukherji, Trilok Kapoor etc in it.
This movie had the distinction of being the first movie where the concept of playback singing was introduced.
HFGK mentions R C Boral and Pankaj Mullick as the two music directors of this movie but the distribution of songs among the two is not known. It appears that most songs in this movie were composed by R C Boral.
Here is the ninth song from “Dhoop Chhaaon”(1935). This song is sung by Uma Shashi and it is picturised on Uma Shashi herself. Pt Sudarshan in the lyricist. Music (I guess) is composed by R C Boral.

I think this was the YIPPEE moment song of this film (considering the multi part song – main khush hona chaahoon – as two songs, this completes 10 songs of this film )
(However, this movie’s covering all songs is not mentioned in this post.)
