“Aap Beeti”(1948) was directed by Kumar for Kumar Studios Limited, Bombay. The movie had Khursheed, Kumar, E Bilimoria, Agha, Leela Mishra, Pramila, Mehdi Raza, Agha Peer Jaan, Hamid, Shabnam, Girdhari, Chandrakala, Afroz Bano, Indira Acharya etc in it.
Today (18 april 2015) is the death anniversary of Khursheed Bano (14 april 1914- 18 april 2001). Here is a song from “Aap Beeti”(1948) on this occasion.
This song is sung by Khursheed Bano. Hasrat Lucknowi is the lyricist. Music is composed by Hari Bhai.
Only the audio of this song is available, but it is clear that the song was picturised on Khursheed Begam herself.
I have not been able to get a few words right in the lyrics. I request our readers with keener ears to fill in the blanks/ suggest corrections in the lyrics wherever applicable.
