“Darshan”(1941) was directed by C M Luhar, B Sc for Prakash pictures. The movie had Prem Adeeb, Jyoti, Meera, Bhudo Advani, Nazeer, Madhusudan, Amirbai Karnataki , Shakir, Baby Kaushalya, C Pandey, Daya Devi, Praveen Kumar, Ra Murty Athavale, Bholaram etc. in it.
Six songs from this movie have been discussed in the past. Here is the seventh song from “Darshan”(1941).
This song is sung by Jyoti and Prem Adib. Pt Indra Chandra is the lyricist. Music is composed by Naushad.
Only the audio of this rare song is available. It is clear form the star cast that the song was picturised on Jyoti and Prem Adib themselves.
I have not been able to get the lyrics right at a few places,mainly in the last stanza. I request our readers with keener ears to help fill in the blanks/ suggest correct words in the lyrics wherever applicable.
