“Darshan”(1941) was directed by C M Luhar, B Sc for Prakash pictures. The movie had Prem Adeeb, Jyoti, Meera, Bhudo Advani, Nazeer, Madhusudan, Amirbai Karnataki , Shakir, Baby Kaushalya, C Pandey, Daya Devi, Praveen Kumar, Ram Murty Athavale, Bholaram etc. in it.
Seven songs from this movie have been discussed in the past. Here is the eighth song from “Darshan”(1941).
According to HFGK, this song is sung by Kaushalya, Jyoti and Prem Adib. Pt Phani is the lyricist. Music is composed by Naushad.
Only the audio of this rare song is available. It is clear form the star cast that the song was picturised on the singers themselves who had also acted in the movie..
I have not been able to get the lyrics right at a few places. I request our readers with keener ears to help fill in the blanks/ suggest correct words in the lyrics wherever applicable. I have not been able to tell the two female voices apart, and that is why I have not colour coded the two female voices.
