“Ghar Ki Laaj”(1941) was directed by V M Vyas for Sunrise Pictures, Bombay. The movie had Shanta Hublikar, Nazeer, Jagdish Sethi, Baby Kaushalya, Mirza Musharraf, Kalyani, Majid, Daya Devi, Hadi etc in it.
Here is the first song from “Ghar Ki Laaj”(1941) to appear in the blog. This song is sung by Kalyani. Ehsan Rizvi is the lyricist. Music is composed by Anna Sahab Mainkar.
Only the audio of this song is available. seeing that the name of Kalyani appears in the list of actors in the movie, it appears that the song was picturised on Kalyani herself. From the sounds of it, the song appears to be a mujra song. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the picturisation of this song as well as on the movie.

Atul ji,
This film was directed and produced by V.M.VYAS and NOT B.M.Vyas,who was only an actor.
Vishnukumar maganlal Vyas was born on 4-11-1905 in Ahmedabad.He started his career in 1927 as a Cinematographer. His company,Sunrise films was started in 1941. He produced and directed Hindi and Gujarati films. He died on 24-1-1962 at Bombay.

As per one site it is October 4, 1905. BM Vyas was younger brother of Bharat Vyas

Please do not give incomplete information.
Shankar Vinayak Mainkar or Annasaheb Mainkar was born in 1904 in Poona. From Awara shehzada-33 to Ashirwad-43,he gave music to 32 films and NOT just 2 films,as you have mentioned.
He died in 1945,at the age of 41 years only.
