“Around The World” (1967) was a P S Pictures production. It was directed by Pachhi. The movie had Raj Kapoor, Rajshree, Ameeta, Mehmood, Pran, Raj Mehra, Achla Sachdev, Vishwa Mehra, Om Prakash, Pachhi etc in it.
Eight songs from this movie have been discussed in the past. Here is the ninth and final song from this movie to appear in the blog.
This song is sung by Rafi and Manna Dey alongwith chorus. Shailendra is the lyricist. Music is composed by Shankar Jaikishan.
The song is picturised as a swimming pool song on Om Prakash and Mehmood, who find themselves by poorside alongwith many bikiniclad ladies and like most Indian men, they feel like fish out of water.:)
I have not been able to get some portions of the lyrics correct to my satisfaction. I request our raeders with keener ears to help fill in the gaps/ sugggest corrections in the lyrics as applicable.
