Raaja Harishchandra(1952) was produced by C.M.Trivedi and directed by Raman B Desai for Trivedi productions. The movie had Prem Adeeb and Sumitra Devi in lead roles, playing Raaja Harishchandra and his wife Taramati respectively. The movie also had Pravin Kumar, Gope, Moni Chatterji etc. in it.
Two songs from this movie have been discussed in the past. Here is the fourth song from this movie to appear in the blog. This song is sung by Rafi and Lata. Husnlal Bhagatram is the music director. Though there were four lyricists in this movie, the distribution of the songs among them is not known.
Only the audio of this song is available. My guess is that this “remonstrating with the Almighty” song was lip synced by a pair of mendicants on screen or may be it was lip synced by the lead pair. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the picturisation of this song.
