“Miyaan Biwi Raazi”(1960) was directed by Jyoti Swaroop for Anupam Chitra, Bombay. The movie had Shrikant Gaurav, Kamini Kadam, Mehmood, Seema Deo, Manorama, David Abraham, Sabita Chatterjee, Raja Gosavi, Daisy Irani, Niranjan Sharma, Shaila Vaz etc in it.
Five songs from this movie have been discussed in the past. Here is the sixth song from the movie. This song is sung by Suman Kalyanpur, with dialogues by Mehmood. Shailendra is the lyricist. Music is composed by S D Burman.
The song is picturised as a stage performance song on Seema Deo and Mehmood, with Mehmood disguise as a woman behind burkha and playing tabla in front of a house full all female audience. Seema Deo, who later became famous as a character artist in company of her husband Ramesh Deo (both playing bhabhi and bhai in numerous movies), apparently got to play scond lead opposite Mehmood in this movie.

Have not seen the movie. Have not heard the song before. Very nice song. Suman in her elements. Thanks

Had seen the movie and heard the song also in radio listening days.No words for the sweet voice of Suman.How was this song left out till now.It is one of very sweet songs of Suman Kalyanpur.

Seema Deo (formerly known as Nalini Saraf) is Hindi and Marathi movie veteran actress. She has acted in over 80 Marathi and Hindi movies. She is the wife of veteran actor Ramesh Deo and mother of Actor Ajinkya Deo & noted Director Abhinay Deo.
