Song-Andhi qismat kise le chalegi kahaan (Sanskaar)(1952) Singer-Lata, Lyrics-Shailendra, MD-Roshan
Lyrics
andhi qismat kise le chalegi kahaan
haay koi jaane na
gham ke haathon kise bech degi kahaan
haay koi jaane na
haay koi jaane na
kis ghadi gher le
gham ki kaali badli
haay koi jaane na
kis ghadi gher le
gham ki kaali badli
iske sar jaane tak phat pade aasmaan
haaye koi jaane na
bachke chalte hain sab
zindagi ki dagar phir bhi mushkil hai kyun
bachke chalte hain sab
zindagi ki dagar phir bhi mushkil hai kyun
aake manzil pe kyun lut gaye kaarwaan
haay koi jaane na
hai ye kis ka chaman
jismein kaliyon ko khilne ka haq bhi nahin
hai ye kis ka chaman
jismein kaliyon ko khilne ka haq bhi nahin
hai vo saiyaad ya naasamajh baagbaan
haay koi jaane na
andhi qismat kise le chalegi kahaan
haay koi jaane naa

I would call such songs as HEART-WARMING or HEART-TOUCHING songs, instead of ‘melancholy’. The word has a negative sounding effect. As I am soul fan of both Roshan and Lata, this is one of my favorite songs
