“Sanskaar”(1952) was produced and directed by V M Vyas. The movie had Mumtaz Shanti, Purnima, Veera, Pran, Razi, Shashi Kapoor (Sr), Ihswar Lal, Mirza Musharraf, Murad, Kalyani, Pappu, Baby Naaz, Indira Mumtaz etc in it.

I would call such songs as HEART-WARMING or HEART-TOUCHING songs, instead of ‘melancholy’. The word has a negative sounding effect. As I am soul fan of both Roshan and Lata, this is one of my favorite songs

It has derogatory connotation which sound like a disease melancholia>>severe depression.
