Lyrics(Provided by Avinash Scrapwala)

badlegi
ye duniya badlegi ee
badlegi ee
badlegi ye duniya
ik din badlegi
badlegi
aasmaan ki bitiyaa dharti
girkar phir se sambhlegi ee
badlegi duniya
ik din badlegi
badlegi
badlegi ye duniya aa

ham bachche laaye hain
apni qismat apni mutthhi mein
ham bachche laaye hain
apni qismat apni mutthhi mein
gud’di mein laal hazaaron
heere bikhre mitti mein
ik din ham bachchon ki toli
chaand sitaare chhoo legi
badlegi duniya
ik din badlegi
badlegi
badlegi ye duniya aa

oonche aasan baithhne waalon
dam bhar dharti par aao
oonche aasan baithhne waalon
dam bhar dharti par aao
jeewan reet seekh lo hamse
ya hamko sikhlaao
jeewan reet seekh lo hamse
ya hamko sikhlaao
har chhoti si baat pe tum
aapas mein lad marte ho
har chhoti si baat pe tum
aapas mein lad marte ho
phailaa itnaa zehar ki tum
ganga jal se bhi darte ho
bachchon ki maasoom nazar
ye reet badal kar dam legi ee
badlegi duniya
ik din badlegi
badlegi
badlegi ye duniya aa

soch liyaa hai
ham bachchon ne
nayaa zamaana kaisaa ho o
soch liyaa hai
ham bachchon ne
nayaa zamaana kaisaa ho o
maata jaisa dil ho jiska
pyaar pitaa ke jaisaa ho o
maata jaisa dil ho jiska
pyaar pitaa ke jaisaa ho
sukh mein jo lori gaaye ae
rote bachchon ko behlaaye ae
sukh mein jo lori gaaye ae
rote bachchon ko behlaaye ae
mel mohabbat mehnat mein
jo jeenaa marnaa sikhlaaye ae
duniya duniya tab hogi
jab hans ke har dukh jhelegi
badlegi duniya
ik din badlegi
badlegi
badlegi ye duniya aa

The movie had seven songs in it. Four songs from this movie have been discussed in the past.

When I looked at the three balance songs of the movie, I discovered that these songs were great and special songs in their respective genre. Nevertheless, if I keep holding songs back for special occasions then I may not find myself with too many songs to discuss on a “normal” day. 🙂 So I decided that one out of these three songs should be discussed today.

Here is the fifth song from “Sanskaar”(1952) to appear in the blog. This song is an inspiration song which is sung by Lata. Shailendra is the lyricist. Music is composed by Roshan.

Only the audio of this song is available. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the picturisation of this song.

Song-Jeenewaale o matwaale zindagi se pyaar kar (Sanskaar)(1952) Singer-Lata, Lyrics-Shailendra, MD-Roshan

Lyrics

jeenewale o matwaale
zindagi se pyaar kar
pyaar kar
yoon na baith zindagi mein zindagi se haar kar,
pyaar kar
jeenewaale

moorakh na dar dekh andhera
moorakh na dar dekh andhera
hoga kabhi to savera
hoga kabhi to savera aa
ranj-o-gham se zindagi ke roop ka singaar kar
pyaar kar
jeenewale o matwaale
zindagi se pyaar kar
pyaar kar
jeenewaale

jo dukh bhi aaye tu jhelta chal
jo dukh bhi aaye tu jhelta chal
har gham se khelta chal
har gham se khelta chal
zinda hai to zindagi pe jaan bhi nisaar kar
pyaar kar
jeenewale o matwaale
zindagi se pyaar kar
pyaar kar
jeenewaale

There have been three movies titled “Sanskaar”, which were released in 1940, 1952 and 1958. The songs of these three movies are difficult to come by. Conventional wisdom suggests that songs of recent movies should be more easily available but the case is just the reverse here. Songs of “Sanskaar”(1940) and “Sanskaar”(1952) are more easily available than that of “Sanskaar”(1958). 🙂

Today (27 march 2013) is the festival of Holi. This is the fifth Holi for this blog ! Majority of well known Holi songs from Hindi movies have been covered during the last four such occasions. Those are the songs that one gets to listen from all radio and TV stations that play Holi songs. But we in this blog, unlike radio and TV, cannot repeat the same songs and we have to discuss “new” as yet undiscussed songs on every occasion.

I was looking for a song written by Shailendra for posting in the blog. That is easier said than done because a large number of Shailendra songs have already been discussed and the trick is to locate a song that has not yet been discussed. This search took me into unknown territory in YT. I came across a song on YT where no details whatsoever about the lyricist was available. The fact that it is from “Sanskaar”(1952) and it was composed by Roshan and sung by Lata was the only information available. Though a few comments were there going waah waah over this rare composition, there was no mention of even the lyrics of this song. So if one was to search for this song by its lyrics, one would draw a blank since the title simply says “Lataji Sanskaar 1952 Roshan” which is not very helpful.
