“Mehndi”(1947) was directed by Sibtain Fazli for Fazli Films, Bombay. The movie had Nargis, Begam Para, Murad, Ghori, Jillobai, Jaani babu, Protima Devi, Chacha Premi, Anwari, Zaki, Baby Shyama etc in it.
There were eight songs in this obscure movie. Here is the fourth song from “Mehndi”(1947) to appear in the blog. HFGK is silent about the identity of the singers. Uploader of this song has mentioned that this song isz sung by Surinder Kaur and Munannawar Sultana (singer). I can identify the voice of Surinder Kaur in the song. The other female singer could well be Munawwar Sultana (singer).
Sagar Nizami is the lyricist. Music is composed by Ghulam Haider.
Only the audio of this song is available. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the picturisation of this song.
I have not been able to get a few words right in the lyrics of the song. I request our readers with keener ears to help fill in the blanks/ suggest corrections as applicable.

This was a Muslim social with an interesting story mainly on Nargis. She is a poor lady who is married to a simple person as well, Karan Dewan. Luck sends her husband abroad for studies and he returns as a rich person and falls in love with a rich girl , Begum Para. On his wedding day to the second wife, he is confronted by the first wife.

According to other info, the singers names are Kulsum and Nadira according to the record company
