“Bahuraani”(1950) is one of many obscure movies of the past that have been forgotten with time. This movie was directed by s M Yousuf for Harishchandra Pictures, Bombay. The movie had Sulochana Chatterji, Shekhar, Kaushalya, Amar, Yashodhara Ktju, David, Sofia, Ansari, Mumtaz, E Billimoria, Bibi, Lalita Pawar, Gope etc in it.
This movie had six songs in it. Here is the first song from “Bahuraani”(1950) to appear in the blog. This song is sung by Shamshad Begam. There were four lyricists in this movie for these six songs. Name of the lyricist is known only for one song, viz. for the song under discussion. Butaram Sharma is the lyricist of this song. Music is composed by Hansraj Bahl.
