“Oot Pataang”(1955) was produced by Naveen Chandra Shah and directed by Chandulal Shah for GM Pictures. The movie had Usha Kiran, Agha, Anwar, Maruti, Jankidas, Indira, Mumtaz Begum, Vaneeta, Rasheed Khan, Shammi Chaudhary, Madhuri, Dubey, Khaja Ahmed, Vijaylakshmi etc in it.
There were nine songs in the movie. Five of them have aclready been covered in the blog.
Today (25 december 2016) is the 58th death anniversary of music director Eric Roberts, better known as Vinod ( 28 may 1922- 25 ecember 1959). On thi occasion, here is a song from “OOt Pataang”(1955). This song is sung by Sudha Malhotra and Rafi. D N Madhok is the lyricist of this cute “chhed chhaad” genre of song. Music is composed by Vinod, of course.
Only the audio of this song is available. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the picturisation of this song.
