“Madaari”(1959) was produced by Ratan Kumar and directed by Babubhai Mistry for Ratan Pictures, Bombay. This movie had Ranjan, Chitra, Manhar Desai, Sundar, Kavita, Sheila Vaz, Kanchan, Jayshree Gadkar, Dalpat, pal Sharma, Uma Dutt, Raj Adeeb, Shree Bhagwan, Sinha, R S Dubey, Murari, Vasantrao Pahalwan, Korega, Julian, Yadav, Vitthal, Indira Bansal, Nilu, Geeta, Paro, rehana etc in it.
The movie had eight songs in it. Five songs from the movie have been discussed in the past.
Here is the sixth song from “Madaari”(1959) to appear in the blog. This song is sung by Lata. Pt Madhur in the lyricist. Music is composed by Kalyanji Aanndji (with Laxmikant being the assistant music director).
The video is badly damaged and one cannot enjoy the song on video. One needs to listen to the record version which thankfully is available and is in good condition and of full length.
I am unable to identify the lady lip syncing the song though my guess is that she is Chitra. I request our knowledgeable readers to help identify her and other ladies playing her sahelis in the picturisation.
