In Hindi movies, lip syncing of songs is mainly the preserve of the lead actors. Sometimes we find character actors too getting to lip sync a song or two. viz suffering maa is seen singing bhajans or remonstrating with the Almighty. 🙂
There are some occasions when small time actors too get to sing songs. These songs tend to be of the “roadside tamasha” genre of song, where a small time actor is seen playing a dholak or harmonium while a small time actress dances. Public dutifully gather around then in a circle and watch the performance standing perfectly still.
Such songs could be solo or a duet. One well known song of this genre is the duet song from “Zanjeer”(1973) viz. Deewaane hain deewaanon ko na ghar chaahiye which was picturised on Gulshan Bawra and Sanjana.
Here is a fenmale solo song of the same genre. This song is from “Ghar Ka Chiraag”(1967). It was a movie which was produced and directed by Jagdev Bhabhri for Harinath Films, Bombay.
The movie had Waheeda Rehman, Dharmendra, Indrani Mukherjee, Master Ajay, Abhi Bhattacharya, Purnima, Tuntun, Balraj Sahni, Jabeen Jalil, Jagdev, Dev Kumar etc in it.
In this song, we find a lady singing and dancing in Asha Bhonsle’s voice, whereas a gentleman plays harmonium.
The video is not clear. Even if it was clear, it is unlikely that I would have been able to identify the actors. 🙂 I request our knowledgeable readers to help identify the actors.

At 1:40 it is actor Moolchand with pagdi on his head and
The lady dancer is Sheila.R aka Sheila Ramachandra aka Sushila aka Sheela (at 1:34 you can clearly identify her).
She worked as Assistant choreographer and also appeared in hundreds of hindi movie song sequences as main dancer,co-dancers
One of her significant performance is in Dev Anand`s Guide (with waheeda rehman she can be seen in the snake dance sequence below)
And she is also the co dancer with Reena Roy in Kalicharan famous dance song “Jaa re ja o harjaee”(Sheila Ramachandra dances with Reena roy in a male(Pathan)disguise”

at 0.23 you can se Sheela ramachandra as a male co dancer(in a male disguise)
