“Sapna” (1952) was directed by Kidar Sharma for Hindustan production company. The movie had Kishore Sahu, Bina Rai, Cuckoo, Shakuntala, Moni C., Hiralal, Rani Chanda, Narbada Shanker, Paul Sharma etc in it.
The movie had seven songs in it. One song has been covered in the blog in the past.
Here is the second song from the movie to appear in the blog. This song is sung by Shamshad Begam, Rafi and chorus. Bharat Vyas is the lyricist. Music is composed by Shyam Babu Pathak.
This movie had five female playback singers viz. Shamshad Begam, Rajkumari, Geeta Dutt, Asha Bhonsle and Indira Manchanda, and only one male playback singer, viz. Rafi. It is only in two songs, including in this song that we listen to the voice of Rafi. All other songs in the movie are all female affairs.
