“Kaneez”(1949) was directed by Krishn Kumar for Caravan Pictures, Bombay. The movie had Shyam, Munawwar Sultana, Urmila, Kuldeep, Cuckoo, Tiwari, Ramesh Sinha, Shyama etc in it.
There were twelve songs in the movie. Seven of these songs have been discussed in the past.
Here is the eighth song from “Kaneez”(1949) to appear in the blog. This song, a “missing the beloved” genre of song, is sung by Surinder Kaur. Harishchandra is the lyricist. Music is composed by Ghulam Haider.
Only the audio of this spong is available. One fake video of this song is available on YT where this song is supewrimposed on Nargis, who was not at all there in this movie. Uploading fake videos to my mind is as abominable (if not more) than posting partial songs on YT.
I have provided the audio link of the song, so as not to mislead music lovers.
I have not been able to get a few words right in the lyrics. I request our readers with keener ears to help fill in the blanks/ suggest corrections as applicable.
I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the picturisation of this poignant song.

The movie KANEEZ (1949) is available on YouTube. The song was picturized on actress Munawwar Sultana. It’s a poor recording as are most of the other versions of the film uploaded, but here is the song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iYMkls04KoQ

I absolutely agree with you. There are many romantic songs with Dilip-Madhubala scenes used on totally not connected songs audios. Very amateurish in MY opinion.
