“Khamosh Sipaahi” (1950) was directed by Ram Kamlani for Mansarowar Pictures under the supervision of D N Madhok. The movie had David Abraham, Sohan, Nigar Sultana, Gope etc in it.
The movie had 11 songs in it. Three of these songs have been covered in the blog.
Here is the fourth song from “Khaamosh sipaahi”(1950). HFGK mentions this song as a duet of Geeta Dutt and Surinder Kaur. I am unable to detect the voice of Geeta Dutt in the song. In addition, I can detect some other voices, including a male voice singing a line. The male voice could be Ram Kamlani, who has given his voice in a few songs in this movie.
Nevertheless, I will go by what is mentioned in HFGK and assume that Geeta Dutt’s voice too is there in the song. I request our knowledgeable readers to offer their comments on the identity of the singers.
D N Madhok is the lyricist. Music is composed by Hansraj Bahl.
I have not been able to get a word (may be more) right in the lyrics of this song. I request our readers with keener ears to help fill in the blanks/ suggest corrections as applicable in the lyrics.
Only the audio of this song is available. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the picturisation of this lovely song where a few ladies are enjoying the onset of “saawan”. A lovely Punjabi folk music based song it is that I heard for the first time only just now.

Atul ji,
In view of what I have brought out in my comments, it will be the fitness of things that those three songs from the film referred to in Prof. Surjit Singh’s website, be accredited to Khurshid Anwar. His son, Irfan Anwar has also confirmed that those three songs were composed by Khurshid Anwar.

As per the discussion among RMIM, Ram Kamlani, Director had confirmed that Khurshid Anwar composed three songs. However, when the third song ‘keh do keh do’ which was already composed by him was to be recorded, he left for Pakistan and Hansraj Bahl recorded this song and composed 8 more songs. The link below:
