“Hangaama”(1952) was produced and directed by Ram Kamlani for Gope Productions, Bombay. The movie had Nutan, Nasir Khan, K N Singh, David, Cuckkoo, Gope, Yakoob etc with Raj Mehra is guest appearance.
The movie had nine songs in it. Two of these songs have been covered in the past.
Here is the third song from “Hangaama”(1952) to appear in the blog. The song is sung by Lata. Rajinder Krishan is the lyricist. Music is composed by C Ramchandra.
Only the audio of this song is available. It seems certain that the song was picturised on the leading lady, viz Nutan in this case. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the picturisation of this pathos filled song.
Song-Tere dar se khushi maangi …arre ye kya kiya toone(Hangama)(1952) Singer-Lata, Lyrics-Rajinder Krishan, MD-C Ramchandra
Lyrics
tere dar se ae
khushi maangi ee
magar gham de diya toone
arre ye kya kiya toone
arre ye kya kiya toone
tere dar se khushi maangi
magar gham de diya toone
arre ye kya kiya toone
arre ye kya kiya toone
tere kadmon se kitna pyaar
karti hain meri galiyaan
o o o
meri galiyaan
khila kar tod na dena
kahin tu aas ki kaliyaan
kahi tu aas ki kaliyaan
kasam hai jaan de denge
agar aisa kiya toone
arre ye kya kiya toone
arre ye kya kiya toone
tujhe ye kya khabar
tujhse mujhe kitni muhabbat hai
muhabbat mein mujhe tujhse
bas itni si shikaayat hai
rulaane ke liye zaalim
mera dil kyun liya toone
arre ye kya kiya toone
arre ye kya kiya toone
milega kya tujhe
ulfat bhare is dil ko thhukra kar
tadapte jaayenge hum to
agar tu khush hai tadpa kar
agar tu khush hai tadpa kar
jo tera hai
usi dil par
sitam kyun kar kiya toone
arre ye kya kiya toone
arre ye kya kiya toone

Thanks for posting ‘MY type of music’ on the starting of ASAD’s glorious tenth year.
My wish now :
May ‘MY type’ Atulites increase and surpass ‘Chaalu types’ in numbers.
