“Hangaama”(1952) was produced and directed by Ram Kamlani for Gope Productions, Bombay. The movie had Nutan, Nasir Khan, K N Singh, David, Cuckkoo, Gope, Yakoob etc with Raj Mehra is guest appearance.

The movie had nine songs in it. Four of these songs have been covered in the past.

Here is the fifth song from “Hangaama”(1952) to appear in the blog. The song is sung by Lata. Rajinder Krishan is the lyricist. Music is composed by C Ramchandra.

Only the audio of this song is available. It seems certain that the song was picturised on the leading lady, viz Nutan in this case. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the picturisation of this rare song.

Song-Bhola shikaari nishaana na jaane (Hungaama)(1952) Singer-Lata, Lyrics-Rajinder Krishan, MD-C Ramchandra

Lyrics

bade teer maare
magar ik na laagaa
muhabbat mein aakhir

bholaa shikaari nishaanaa na jaane
naadaan dil kaa lagaana na jaane
bholaa shikaari ee
bholaa shikaari nishaanaa na jaane
naadaan dil kaa lagaana na jaane
bholaa shikaari ee

jo dil tadapne par na ho raazi
khelegaa kyaa wo muhobbat ki baazi
jo dil tadapne par na ho raazi
khelegaa kyaa wo muhobbat ki baazi
jalnaa na jaane
jalaanaa na jaane
naadaan dil kaa lagaanaa na jaane
bholaa shikaari ee
bholaa shikaari nishaanaa na jaane
naadaan dil kaa lagaanaa na jaane
bholaa shikaari ee

chalen teer pe teer
dil muskuraaye
ho o o o
ho o o
ho o o
mazaa pyaar karne kaa aise hi aaye
ho o o
ho o o
ho o o
chalen teer pe teer dil muskuraaye
mazaa pyaar karne kaa aise hi aaye
dil ki tadap ko zamaanaa na jaane
naadaan dil kaa lagaanaa na jaane
bholaa shikaari ee
bholaa shikaari nishaanaa na jaane
naadaan dil kaa lagaanaa na jaane
bholaa shikaari ee

The movie had nine songs in it. Three of these songs have been covered in the past.

Here is the third song from “Hangaama”(1952) to appear in the blog. The song is sung by Lata. Rajinder Krishan is the lyricist. Music is composed by C Ramchandra.

Only the audio of this song is available. Lata was the main female singer in this movie. So it seems certain that the song was picturised on the leading lady, viz Nutan in this case. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the picturisation of this pathos filled song.

Song-Dard ke maare huye (Hangaama)(1952) Singer-Lata, Lyrics-Rajinder Krishan, MD-C Ramchandra

Lyrics

dard ke maare huye
aur pyaar ke loote huye
kaun si duniya mein jaayenge
ye dil toote huye ae
dard ke maare huye

chaar din ki is judaai mein
samajh baithha hai dil il
samajh baithha hai dil
ik zamaana ho gaya
ik zamaana ho gaya
tumse hamen chhoote huye
dard ke maare huye
aur pyaar ke loote huye
kaun si duniya mein jaayenge
ye dil toote huye
dard ke maare huye

kuchh suhaane khwaab dekhe
thhe mohabbat ne kabhi
o o o o o
kuchh suhaane khwaab dekhe thhe
mohabbat ne kabhi ee
mohabbat ne kabhi
haaye ri kismat wo saare
haaye ri kismat wo saare
khwaab ab jhoothhe huye
dard ke maare huye
aur pyaar ke loote huye
kaun si duniya mein jaayenge
ye dil toote huye ae
dard ke mare huye

Today’s song is from film Hangaamaa-52. It is sung by Lata, Chitalkar and Rafi. It is a very lilting and melodious song. Finding such songs still uncovered in this Blog underlines a fact that there is still a hugh treasure out there in the realms of Old Hindi Film Songs which is yet to be tapped and brought to light.

Recently I had mentioned the name of Shirish Kanekar, a writer on HFM of yore. He writes in Marathi. He has a photographic memory and hundreds of anecdotes about songs, singers, composers, directors and everybody in films. He has written about 30 odd books, most of which are highly readable.
