“Maaya Jaal”(1962) aka “Jaadoogar” was a partially colour film (which was usual for movies of that era). This movie was directed by Babubhai Mistry for Rajhans Pictures, Bombay. This quintessential B grade movie had Ranjan, Chitra, Manhar Desai, Krishna Kumari, Pal Sharma, Mumtaz Begam, Nazeer, Shree Bhagwan, Maruti, Radhika etc in it.
One song from the movie has been covered in the blog. That song was a lovely duet sung by Lata and Mukesh. Here is the second song from the movie. This song too is a duet, but this time it is sung by Rafi and Asha Bhonsle. The song, a never heard before song for me, is a wonderful “expression of love” song which is penned by Qamar Jalalabadi. Music is composed by S N Tripathi.
