“Dev Kanya” (1946) was directed by Dhirubhai Desai for Vishnu Cinetone, Bombay. This “mythological” movie had Leela Desai, Leela Chitnis, Ulhas, Wasti, Jillo, Indira, Pal Mahendra, Kashinath, Samson, Himmatlal etc in it.
This obscure movie had ten songs in it. Three of these songs have been covered in the past.
Here is the fourth song from “Dev Kanya” (1946) to appear in the blog. The song is sung by Khan Mastana. Though there were two lyricists in the movie, the distribution of songs among them is not known.
Music is composed by Shyam Sundar.
Only the audio of this song i available. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the movie as well as on the picturisation of this song.
